So I had a great first week of holidays, ending with a weekend trip to Mornington. Many beautiful photos were taken, with a lot of the gorgeous ones taken at the beach!

I'll post up photos later, maybe (or it's more likely to find them on Facebook, actually).

I handled my charm with time and...

There's this family friend of ours, an Aunty, who has the idea that girls should dress demurely. Especially so when going to college. The few times she would accompany my mum to pick me up from college, she would sigh or click her tongue in annoyance, saying things like, 'Aiya, see! All wear shorts and singlet! You think you all are going to the beach?'

Well, yeah, I'm going to the beach ;) 

You don't see it in the picture, but my outfit was complete with a floppy felt hat (which was later blown into the sea and retrieved with a lot of screaming). In fact, I didn't take a photo with my floppy hat although I did wear it! :(

 It was a perfect day for the beach! Sun, wind, great company and beach boys.

Mutton Stew Noodles @ Noodle Kingdom

It was a really fun day - lots of sunshine and smiles, a beautiful breeze and a great bunch of people. Spontaneity brings joys like this. A simple text saying, 'wanna go to the beach? :)' can lead to a day in the sun and end with delicious noodles in Chinatown.

But of course you have to be on spring break also lar lol.

There's this massive laundry pile waiting for me in my room. But that's okay because long as I avoid my room, I don't have to look at it yet. (This is also a telling point on the level of Stubborn I have; Chris pointed out that by the time she finished chewing her mouthful of rice, I could have dumped my laundry in and started the machine, to which I shifted in my chair and turned my body towards my room, before saying, "No. Doing laundry defeats the idea of 'bumming'.")

I'm on my second last pair of clean underwear though, so I'll have no choice but to get some laundry done by tonight. Yeah you all definitely needed to know this har har har.

I just wanna loll about in bed/on the couch while I get over the numbness of the stress of the past few weeks before I have to get up and plan out my weekend (which is going to be supah busy as well). (This was typed on Friday.)

Weird dream: I had to start crash-training for a marathon that I had to run within the next three days. Very stressful.

I know this might come off a little mean, but it's the truth and many of us have come to realisations such as this before.

So I was halfway through devouring this bag of chips right? I was (am) so stressed that I kept munching even though the salty crisps were making me feel physically ill. Then I clicked to Facebook and saw a newsfeed update by an old acquaintance and she was not looking good. I don't know if it's a change of lifestyle (i.e. working life) or what. But anyway.

I thought, hmm. I can't go back to being fat, no matter how little support I have ever gotten in my bid to attain/maintain my ideal weight.

So I vowed not to eat so much crap anymore.

Hah.

p.s. Thank you Accenture. Not just for the info session, but also for the fact that your presence gave us the chance to have a long forgone Malaysian dinner. Oh, and let's not forget the free blue ink pens, because free pens are, more often than not, black. Good on ya :)

Oh what can it mean to a...

I wanted to post this up on Facebook, but even I felt silly about it so I'll just say it here. I wish I could sit at a desk facing a mirror so that I can see my beautiful red Macbook gleaming back at me. There I said it. Moving on.

Today was a beautiful day. Too bad I can't laze around, rolling on the grass. But what I did was take a 2.5 hour nap with the window open and the blinds turned just so that they let in little rays of sunlight. Cooling and just a little hint of warmth. I slipped into bed after changing into a pair of shorts, feeling the cool cotton of my comforter slide along my legs and the metal of my shirt buttons press against my tummy. The sheets were dry and had a little scratchiness to it. My nap was perfect.

And now it's 7:30 pm fml why can't time pause when you're sleeping.

And even if time ain't really on my side
It's one of those days for takin' a walk outside

Darac Grill & Bar

Visited a little Korean place for lunch today with Chris and Carmen! Lunch was laid back and chatty, and the food was to my liking. I had yaki noodles with beef bulgogi and gyoza salad for AUD 9.50, regular sized. Portions were reasonable, but not as big as Rose Garden or Menya's portions.
